Let me tell you why I disagree. I bought 2 TVs at a similar time, figuring i might send one back with Amazon's free TV returns. One was this TCL 40-inch. the opposite was a 32-inch Toshiba. I've continually heard Toshiba may be a nice whole, however the one I got wasn't a good TV. The channel scan kept locking up till I hit the factory reset. and also the audio-video sync was method off (if you are not accustomed to sync problems, it offers you the impression of watching a remote film with English dubbed over).
So I sent the Toshiba back and have up to now kept this one. Had it for per week currently. The channel scan I ran once I initial started it up went off while not a hitch. Sync is ideal. And, though this can be the primary 1080p TV I've owned (so my opinion is missing the "experience" factor), the image is gorgeous. i do not watch blu-rays on it (do that downstairs with the 1080p projector 
, however HD TV channels, Netflix, etc., all look nice. Sound is actually skinny, however I arrange on hooking it up to my surround receiver (made attainable by the optical audio out--thank you!), therefore that is not one thing i am fussed regarding.
Haven't had any issues with screen blanking just like the one-star reviewers all had. Suppose that might begin happening any time.
